Our camping trip was timed for the release of trout into the lake at Kickapoo. The fishermen went out several times but had their best luck catching walleye and other local fish in the river. I don't think they caught a single trout. But don't think this means they are bad fishermen. The trout released in the lake come from a trout farm and behave just as they did there, swimming in one spot in a circle. The best catches of these fish come from canned corn on the end of a standard fishing line, while the Woffords go for fly fishing a la "A River Runs Through It." Since these trout have probably never seen a real bug in their life, they don't know what to do when presented with a beautifully crafted Woolly Bugger.
