More Peoria Details

Just an update for blog readers on our current Peoria plans... We have found a house in Pekin, IL, a suburb of Peoria (SE). The house and lot are similar in size to what we have now, and don't require any work to move in (a crucial point since we expect a new baby soon). We are happy to be so close to Grandpa and Grandma Whiteford (Rachel's mom's parents) and Hannah (Rachel's cousin) who also live in Pekin. Being on the east side also keeps us close to Rachel's aunts and uncles and Isaac's parents in Champaign about 1 1/2 hours to the east of Peoria. Our plan is to move to Peoria the weekend before Mar. 10, when Isaac starts work. The timing of our house closing makes it easier for our whole family to move in time for Isaac to start. The plus is that Sam and Rachel won't be left alone in Columbus and Isaac won't have to make one or more return trips to see us/move. Keep watching for more details!

Sounds ideal! I know it is not an easy transition, but it sounds like you guys are in great spirits. Thanks for the update. I was thinking of emailing you guys to find out the latest scoop.

Hey Rachel! Can you e-mail us the address of your new house? I'd love to know where it is. As for when we will make our next trip to Illinois... I don't know when but hope we can plan to make one sometime this spring since we haven't been since July! It will be fun to squeeze in a visit to your new home!
