Sam has been enjoying seeing more wildlife on our three acre property, including this caterpillar...

...and a molting cicada.

Isaac's parents came Sunday. They helped us freeze fresh sweet corn and prepare for our new woodstove installation, which my ever-handy husband is taking upon himself. So far he's been able to postpone climbing onto our 30-foot high, steep slate roof. But a trip up there is unavoidable.

Isaac was so excited to start working on his project that he stayed up until 4 am working on the above, the hearth pad to go under the stove. He made the wood trim himself from an old oak barn beam!

Your property and all the work you and Isaac are doing sounds wonderful.
