February-March 2014

Isaac used his tractor to make a snow mountain, and helped the boys make it into a snow tunnel.

Caleb's silly faces.

Isaac had to get in too.
Grace rolling her own pie crust.

On returning much later, I found she had experimented with various items she found around the kitchen and created this masterpiece with peanuts, toothpicks, and a generous dusting of cinnamon.  Later she complained of an odd smell that she couldn't escape from.  My guess is she had cinnamon in her nose.

A Sunday afternoon art lesson with Daddy.

Anna can clap her hands and click her tongue, and say the sounds da, na, tee, la.

She has an unorthodox thumb-sucking method.

Sam's birthday sign with lego guys.

I made Oliver and S Art Museum vests for the boys to play Lone Ranger.

Lone Ranger and his sidekick Dan Reid.

They wore their outfits the next day to go to Chataqua to look for migrating waterfowl.  We saw thousands of migrating snow geese.

It was nice enough (50?) for Grace to take off coat, shoes, and socks.

After lunch we went to Emiquon.  Grace collected gravel in her shoe.

A surprise on this trip was the pleasure of watching several muskrats swimming about, grooming, and eating sticks.

I'd never seen one before!  So fun!
